About the Designer 

​

Aven has worked for 8 years in the fashion industry in South East Asia and now a Fashion Design lecturer and MA Design Management Programme Leader at Raffles college of Higher Education, Singapore.

​

With years of experience working in the bridal industry, she has organised and planned bridal fashion shows, events, exhibitions and so on. She has also worked as fashion buyer, travelled to Hong Kong, Thailand, China to source for textile, material and bridal gowns. Through these experiences, Aven understands the fashion designing process from design and production to off the rack retail.

With the experience of working extensively across women’s wear, from Ready to Wear to Avant Garde designs and wedding gowns, Aven clearly understand what a young designer needs and what works best for a student to be an outstanding designer.
